Take a look at the range of windsurfing courses that we have to offer. All courses are taught by qualified instructors and are run in a chest deep lagoon.
Flag Beach Windsurf Centre offers good cross-shore (from the left) conditions from March/April through to August/September. It is generally wavier for the first couple of months with the remains of the winter swells, however from May onwards the waves disappear and flat slalom conditions prevail.
Although the winter months statistically have less windy days at Flag Beach, there can be better locations within easy reach that have wind for the more advanced sailor. When there is no wind there will usually be waves so we offer bodyboarding and surfing as alternatives.
We offer a wide range of tuition, from beginner up to advanced. Although Flag Beach is in fact an intermediate - advanced location, we are very lucky in that some 20 minutes drive away we have an ideal beginners teaching lagoon. All our beginner / renewal / improver courses run in this lagoon, where there is shallow (1m), protected water with a sandy bottom. This allows us to cater for everyone's needs.
All courses are run by qualified instructors, Flag Beach being one of the VDWS recognized centers.
